Sonata
The plant
- Mid-late June bearing variety, a few days later than Elsanta
- High frost tolerance
- High yields (similar to Elsanta)
- Susceptible to wilt diseases (Verticillium), crown rot (Phytophthora cactorum) and root rot (Rhizoctonia)
The fruit
- Uniform in shape. Shiny, short and conical fruit
- Sonata has a sweet flavour and is juicier than Elsanta
- Better rain resistance and less prone to tearing than Elsanta
- Juicy, excellent flavour with a strong aroma
